Clare & Phil's Wedding, St. Pierre Newmillerdam

Fantastic wedding on Saturday with Clare and Phil at the St. Pierre hotel. After the ceremony we went down to Newmillerdam with the wedding party for some photos by the Lake. This wasn't quite without incident as a BMX rider crashed off her my nearly taking Clare with her! Clare sprang into action with her medical training and sprang into action as the rest of us just stood looking at the poor girl lying prone on the floor. Clare dialled 999 and answered what seemed like dozens of questions until we heard the ambulance siren in the distance and we could finally get back to taking the photos! Just love weddings - they're all so different!!

Boudoir Photography

Another boudoir session to-day, a wedding at St.Pierre at Newmillerdam on Saturday, another wedding at the Crab and Lobster near Thirsk on Sunday and a wedding at Leeds Town Hall on Thursday (just booked to-day - last minute or what!) and temperatures hitting 23 degrees.  Is it summer already?  Here are some of the photos of the lovely Becky from today's shoot in Sheffield.

Baby Portrait Photography

Continuing the theme of Portrait Photography, Melissa and Nic, whose wedding we photographed and fimed at Waterton Park in Wakefield back in 2010 and who have since become the "poster couple" for much of the advertising for Magic Moments, recently had a new addition to the family.  We were thrilled when they asked us to come and take the first "official" photographs of Oliver.  It's a really nice feeling to know that they were so pleased with their wedding photos that they return to you for the family photos.  We always prefer to take baby photos in their own home, as the baby is in familiar surroundings and has its own toys, so hopefully it is more relaxed and happy.  Unfortunately it didn't quite turn out that way with Oliver!  Despite this, we still managed to get some pretty good photos.

Oakwell Hall Wedding Fair, Birstall

Make a Wish Photoshoot

To-day we went along and photographed the nice people at Make a Wish in Horbury, near Wakefield.  Make a Wish Entertainment specialise in magical entertainment events for children and can provide a wide range of characters, from Disney to Star Wars and Harry Potter.  In fact in total we photographed nearly 50 different costumes in the space of a few hours.  If there is such a thing as a photography production line, then this was it! Having said that, the people from Make a Wish were great to work with and all credit goes to them for helping us to get some great images.  It made quite a change from our usual portrait photography to be photographing Buzz Lightyear and Darth Vader, to name but two!
